Spirit is one of Non-Elemental magic that exist in Eastern Europe, and so far, only one wizard who possess this kind of magic. Until now, Aristar Aristarkhov controlling Spirit magic until uncertain time.

Long before Russian Empire exist and Rus’ is led by many nobles, there’s a peasant man who lived with his parents and his eight little brothers and sisters. As the oldest brother, he always got a task to foraging mushrooms in the forest. One day, he is unlucky enough to meet the bandits. As he doesn’t have anything valuable, he was killed so he couldn’t run back and warn the villagers. His death is quite gruesome; stabbed on his right chest, then his limbs mutilated while he slowly dying in agony. He become a lost soul who keeps circling in the forest, while wishing he could go back home peacefully.
One day, Baba Yaga and Koshchei found this lost soul. She is so interested, and she tried to communicate with the lost soul. She then resurrect the poor peasant man, and gave him a new name: Aristar Aristarkhov. Then she taught the new wizard with a new kind of magic: Spirit.
He was given the daily task to maintain the true Limbo world and Underworld. Escorting the lost soul to healing themselves at Limbo, and escorting the pure soul to afterlife.
Centuries later, Aristarkhov was given the last task by Baba Yaga: to make an alliance with the guardian of Kalinov Bridge, who will make sure evil people fell to Smorodina River (or to hell in Pagan Rus’ belief), named Chudo Yudo. The legend said, Aristarkhov need a week to negotiate, and the only thing that makes Chudo Yudo agreed, is how Aristarkhov promised he will leave her alone if she thinks his way to do the work isn’t compatible enough. And after another century, turn out both Aristarkhov and Chudo Yudo are falling in love each other. They are officially married with Baba Yaga, Koshchei, Lev Nyevzorov and Seija Pajari as the witness. Aristarkhov giving her a nickname Katerina.
Unfortunately, as Aristarkhov is still have his half-ghost part, he is still inclined to losing his humanity when doing his duty as Spirit Wizard. He slowly become ruthless and mindless, until able to be manipulated by The White faction at 1911. His announcement about join The White caused a battle between him with Time Wizard, Lev Nyevzorov. He wins the battle as he could taking Nyevzorov’s immortality power. Later he abandoned his duty to escort the lost souls to the Limbo, instead turning all of lost souls as his troop.
Only after 1970s, Aristarkhov regain his sense again after Sarpin defeating him. With a guilt, he decide to fixing his mistake by re-sorting every lost souls to Healing Limbo before putting them to afterlife. And until now, he is still re-sorting those lost souls, as his abandonment in the past resulting of umpteenth lost souls in East Europe.
Magic Ability
Immortality
By being half-human-half-ghost, Aristarkhov cannot be killed by anything (physical or magical attack), except with the same Non-Elemental wizard and in the one who being the loser.
Healing Limbo / Lost Soul’s Troop
By putting Lost Souls to the Limbo, Aristarkhov can perform the spell to differentiate, which one of the Lost Soul is worth to be healed and going to afterlife faster, or the one whose their revenge can be use as fuel for Lost Soul’s Troop.
For those who worth to be healed at Limbo, Aristarkhov will perform the next spell, how the Lost Soul will have their memories manipulated a bit. So they can letting go their resentment toward their death. Usually Lost Souls who die in suicide are the easiest one to accept their death and healed fast. While the one who died by murdered and accident is the hardest, prone to become one of Lost Soul’s Troop.
Lost Soul’s Troop are more to become Aristarkhov’s slave, working to maintain the hotness of Kalinov Bridge and Smorodina River. It’s not an easy job and taking many years to finish. But those Lost Soul who can do the job well, actually have better chance to be reincarnated, not only go to afterlife. They will given chance to live better in another life, and later in their second death, they can go to afterlife straight.
Soul Deprivation / Accumulation
Aristarkhov may unable to taking one’s life directly like grim reaper in the stories, but he can still casting spell to control the souls who still intact on the body.
With this spell, he can also switch anyone’s soul and moving it to another body. And with the same spell, he can deprived or accumulate wizard’s energy. This will affect wizard’s skill when partaking in a battle.
Necromancy / Resurrection Spell
In advance level, Aristarkhov could cast a necromancy spell. But even if he already mastering this skill, he still needs help with gathering the vessel, desire and personality. At first he was only helped by Chudo Yudo. But after 1987, Aristarkhov decided that Chudo Yudo needs to focus more on guarding Kalinov Bridge and Smorodina River.

- Unnamed Soviet military officer - 1941. He made a pact to resurrect Triplet Ivanov as wizards (Lyudmila - Gale Wizard, Mikhail - Earth Wizard, Nikolay - Sea Wizard). This is the first and last time Aristarkhov tried to resurrect without Nyevzorov and Pajari’s help.
- Arman Bulikhanov - 2011. He made a pact to resurrect Valery Gubtsov as his familiar.
- Unnamed Russian military officer - 2016. He made a pact to resurrect Viktor Vetlugaev as Fire Wizard.
- Alexander Kruze - 2019. He made a pact to switch his body with Maksim Maklakov. Then later made a pact again to heal the same person from fatal wound.
