Wind & Gale element is two of thirteen elemental magic that available in Eastern Europe, and the last place of main element list in the Eastern Europe Magic Law. In the past, the naming of this element is Wind element before dividing the element into two.
In present time, Wind & Gale wizards are the one of common wizards that can be found everywhere. The famous community of Wind & Gale elements are filled by Cossack wizards.

First Wind wizard that known in the history of magic is Elder of Wind Wizard, Oksana Baitseva. In the legend of Elder Wizard, she used to be a runaway bride, wishing she have a freedom like a wind. Baba Yaga who hear her plea, offering her to learn Wind Element. Baitseva become the wizard who learn the last element that Baba Yaga hasn’t inherit yet. And later, she divide the element into two: Wind element & Gale element to make new wizard have easier and fast time to learn. However until now, everyone still keep calling the two element under one name, Wind element.
Location and Distribution
There are no specific location as many wizards from various areas are possess Wind & Gale element.
For the community of Wind & Gale wizards, the biggest and oldest one are filled by Cossack wizards, established in 1740s by Zhogolev brothers.
Magic Ability
As per name, Wind & Gale wizards means they can manipulate and create wind in small or large size. And since there are two divided elements, there are difference between Wind element and Gale element.
Wind Element
- Control wind in small but unlimited amount
- Only able to lift one or two people
- Unable to create or change weather
- Able to casting Curse Cleansing spell
- Can cast any spell without limit in a day
Gale Element
- Control wind in large but limited amount
- Able to lift more than 10k people
- Able to create or change weather
- Unable to casting Curse Cleansing spell
- Can only cast spell less than 10 spells in a day
Magic Media
From the first time Wind element being introduced until present time, Wind and Gale wizards’ magic media stays same: a fabric or their own clothes. They can cast the spell without swinging anything. And in East European Magic Law, those wizards who join military will receive a black handkerchief or flag of country that they served, although the soldiers are also allowed to use their own uniform as the magic media.
Notable History
Wizard Hunt (1220-1723)
Wind & Gale wizards are one of elements that participating in both factions: The Dark and The Light faction, and also responsible in the killing other wizards and innocent humans. They were become one of easiest target to be hunted by Catholic and Orthodox Christian priests.
At the end of Wizard Hunt, Oksana Baitseva become the representative of Wind & Gale element. With several element wizards, they signing the peaceful agreement.
Neutral Hunt (1918-1990)
Once again Wind & Gale wizards are divided into two factions: The Red and The White factions. Despite have difference view toward the world, they have same goals: to eradicate the wizards who choose to be Neutral, because they are considered to be useless.
After 1990, many wizards are punished for their wrongdoings, which including Wind & Gale wizards. As the two factions disbanded, all wizards are now living in harmony once again.
Indigo Conflict (2004-2021)
Wind & Gale wizards are two of participants in the Indigo Conflict, specifically in creating dummies to trick Indigo people and warn the wizards in the same area to be careful. Some of them are also playing role in hunting and killing Indigo people.
