To have a familiar from a resurrected lost soul requires difficult tasks and sacrifices. First, the client are not only summon Spirit Wizard. But also summon other 2 Non-Elemental Wizards: Time and Phantasm. Surely it would take a whole night to summon all of three.
Then each of the Non-Elemental Wizard will demand for sacrifices. Usually each client will have different type of sacrifices, but no matter what kind of sacrifices, in nutshell:
- Spirit Wizard will demand a sacrifice of client's possession. A possession needed for shaping the magic power for the lost soul. Each lost soul usually have their own uniqueness.
- Phantasm Wizard will demand a sacrifice of client's darkest desire. A desire needed for altering the lost soul's memory, preventing the lost soul to immediately go rampage when being resurrected.
- Time Wizard will demand a sacrifice of fresh human corpse which still not reached rigor mortis stage. The corpse also must have peaceful death in the past life, so Time Wizard won't accept all corpse that was made from 3 unnatural causes: ending own life, murdered, or accident. A fresh human is needed as the vessel for the lost soul.
And with a long, tiring ceremony and ancient spells for whole night, the fresh human will slowly change appearance just like the lost soul's appearance. The lost soul now becomes alive, though it takes time as the lost soul need to adapt in a new body which has new magic power. As per illustration drawn above, the lost soul still adapting, but at least he already can stand up with a bit help from his Master. The eyes are usually the last thing that becomes alive.
Meanwhile, the client will be the Master of this lost soul, able to give any order as long it will benefits the lost soul too. The lost soul will always obey their Master's order without questioning it. They can be more powerful and useful guards than normal human wizards.
In the beginning state, they are lost all of their original memories. What will they remember are the altered memories which created by Phantasm Wizard. The original memories will be gradually uncovered, but it takes time. It's crucial for the Master to help soothing the lost soul's sudden anger burst, when they are remembering their true memories again.
Despite this resurrection method is well known in supernatural world, only very few of wizards/human are dare enough to do such thing. It's because of the heavy responsibility to taking care the resurrected soul well. And slowly the responsibility eats up the Master's sanity. It'a common to find every clients who resurrect a lost soul to ended up insane, prone to be possessive, infatuated and ended up mistreating their familiar. And instability of the Master will always lead to the lost soul's second death, which usually more painful than their first death.
But the lost soul aren't lost anymore in their second death. They will go straight to afterlife and live happily ever after. Meanwhile the Master will be punished by trapped in limbo forever.... as their only chance to go to afterlife after death, have been exchanged for the familiar.
It's still unknown what will happen if the familiar being treated well for certain time, because so far in the history, every Masters are always ended up become insane. And so far, only four out of a hundred resurrected lost souls, who are still able to survived in life state even if their Masters gone insane.
